New degree to address growing eye health need
The university announced it will offer a new optometry programme to address the growing demand for eye care services in the North of Scotland. The course will be the first new optometry degree to be launched in Scotland in almost 50 years.
Sleat student named as Young Gaelic Ambassador
BA childhood practice student, Lucy Hannah, was named as this year’s Young Gaelic Ambassador Daily Record Gaelic Awards. Lucy manages Fàs Mòr, a childcare centre at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig UHI, which offers day-care through the medium of Gaelic.
Student Development Fund reaches milestone
The university’s student development fund is celebrating its tenth birthday. Launched in October 2009, it has supported over 400 students to take advantage of personal development opportunities in connection with their course that would otherwise be missed due to financial constraints.
Moray College UHI partners with Gordon & MacPhail
Moray College UHI launched a new continuing professional development programme for business leaders. The ‘responsible leadership and development for contemporary business’ course has been developed in partnership with family owned alcoholic drinks company, Gordon & MacPhail.
