Alastair was elected as Chair of Court by the staff and students of the university in 2021. Prior to that he was Chairman and Pro Chancellor of Teesside University for eight years.
Alastair is currently Chairman of a leading business services group which he led as CEO for over ten years. He also operates a portfolio of non-executive roles. Largely in the media, tech and education sectors.
The earlier part of his career was spent leading daily newspaper, media and publishing businesses across the UK.
He lives in the Southern Highlands and is passionate about using leadership and education to transform lives, communities and economies.
