Dr Fiona McLean

Dr Fiona McLean is a long-term supporter of the University of the Highlands and Islands, and was Vice Chair of the UHI Court between 2014 and 2021. Fiona is currently a Non-Executive Director, with Scottish Government appointments to the boards of Historic Environment Scotland and the Cairngorms National Park Authority, and with the board of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service. Previously a Professor of Cultural Heritage Management at Glasgow Caledonian University, Fiona brings wide experience of universities, as a governor, a staff member, and as a student, most recently at Sabhal Mor Ostaig UHI. Living and working in the highlands, Fiona is committed to ensuring that the UHI Foundation fulfils its role of providing a connection between the University and its communities, and in supporting the University in the furtherance of its mission.
