Malcolm Burr

Malcolm has been Chief Executive of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar since November 2005, having previously held posts with Orkney Islands Council as Assistant Chief Executive, and in Legal Services in Comhairle nan Eilean and Strathclyde Regional Council. Malcolm hails from Edinburgh, and has degrees in Law from the Universities of Edinburgh and Cambridge.

Malcolm is the Convener of the Electoral Management Board and is a former Chair of SOLACE Scotland. He was a member of the Court of UHI from 2013 until 2017.

Malcolm lives in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.
