Centre for Rural Health Sciences
Based in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, we have a campus in Inverness and Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. We are part of the Health, Social Care and Life Sciences subject area.
Our vision is to improve the health and well-being of the people of the Highlands and Islands through excellence in rural health and social care education, research and knowledge exchange. We are dedicated to creating a supportive and collaborative environment by valuing our staff, students and communities.
Our mission is to:
- Provide quality education, producing graduates with the professionalism, skills, knowledge and attributes necessary to positively influence the health and wellbeing of their communities.
- Produce innovative health and social care research with regional, national and international relevance that addresses the needs of, and positively impacts, our local communities and beyond.
- Provide an environment that supports and values students and staff, embraces equity, diversity and inclusion and fosters wellbeing through transparent communication, respect and collaboration.
