The graduate attributes align closely with the eligibility criteria for Scottish Innovative Student Award from Scottish Institute of Enterprise (SIE). The university now has 6 modules accredited under these criteria, and has ran various Level 1 ‘Qualifier’ Workshops, across a wide range of subject areas.

The modules accredited (course in brackets) are tertiary, and include:

  • Managing and Leadership in Creative Industries (BA Hons Music Business)
  • Policy into Practice (MA Health & Wellbeing)
  • Displaying the Past: Museum Studies (BA Hons Culture and Heritage)
  • Sustainable Creative Endeavour in Contemporary Society (MA Music and the Environment)
  • Event Organisation (NC Business)

Hermoine Morris

In June 2020, Hermione Morris was recognised as UHI’s first Level 3 SISA Innovation Champion at an virtual Awards Ceremony hosted by SIE.

Hermione was one of only 59 students from across Scotland to achieve the title, and we hope will be the first of many UHI students to go on to complete Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the award!

During the first year of working with SIE and in addition to Hermione’s success at Level 3, UHI had 23 students achieve Level 1 certificates through completion of accredited modules or future thinking workshops.
