Scottish Land Commission publish new discussion paper by Professor Jim Hunter
December marks the 100th anniversary of the Land Settlement (Scotland) Act, an act which helped open the way for the community buyout movement in Scotland. To mark the centenary of the Act the Scottish Land Commission has just published a discussion paper by Professor Jim Hunter ‘Repeopling Emptied Places: Centenary reflections on the significance and the enduring legacy of the Land Settlement (Scotland) Act 1919’.
There’s also an interview with Professor Hunter, talking about the legacy of the Land Settlement Act and an article on BBC News – all worth watching and reading!
