Come join us on a non-residential or daily basis for our Summer Course
You can now join us on a non-residential or daily basis for our Summer Course in June at UHI Perth.
The non-residential rate is £700 which includes lunches, bus travel, site entry fees and the ceilidh on the last night. If you'd like to join us for less than the full week, then it is £170 per day for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and £200 for the Friday including the ceilidh.
The Institute for Northern Studies invites you to join us in following in the footsteps of Celts and Vikings in central Scotland. In this summer course you will learn how the culture and society of the Celtic and Norse peoples helped shape central Scotland. You will visit important sites where you can see the sites of battles and raids, the incredible sculpture created by early medieval stonemasons, important ecclesiastical sites, and places where kings were inaugurated and exercised their power. You will take part in daily lectures and join in the excursions with our engaging team of experts who will bring these places to life. This is your chance to discover the stories of the Celts and Vikings, explore fascinating places and meet new people. On the Friday evening, a ceilidh will let you experience today’s modern Scottish culture first hand.
