'On the Edge' is a common stereotype when it comes to islands. This seminar will focus on how information and communication technologies (ICT) is being used to bring islands in from this ‘edge’, both historically and in the present. Fleur will utilise her PhD research, in this presentation to explore case studies in the Faroes, Scottish archipelagos and Irish Islands, to question whether islands are really ‘on the edge’?
