I chose UHI as it offered online teaching that worked around my work and family commitments. The online format has been great, I have been able to learn local, and all the lecturers are supportive and easy to reach if you have any questions. If you are considering UHI, go for it! The sense of achievement you feel after completing your course is amazing.
I love the friendliness of all the staff, the mix of students that you meet online from all over Scotland, as well as the accessibility of study. I am grateful for the experience and the chance to better myself academically. My PAT has been so supportive, given me a few pep talks and encouraged me to believe in my abilities.

I knew this was the right course for me as I could learn from fantastic lecturers in good laboratories with high-spec equipment. The practical skills taught during field trips have already secured me an industry placement with an Environmental Consultant firm where I learnt a lot about the sector I hope to work in once I graduate. I have been supported by the Careers and Employability team with help for CV and cover letter writing to help set me up for my career.
