Pia – India
BA (Hons) Professional Golf
"What attracted me was the indoor facilities such as the trackman and GC squad, and their relationship with Royal Dornoch, one of the best golf courses in the world.
It also has great connections with placement options within and outside the country to help build a strong CV."
Pia studies at the picturesque UHI Centre for Golf in Dornoch, a purpose-built training facility. Our Golf degrees are run in partnership with the PGA which helps students build excellent industry links.
Alberto – United States
BSc (Hons) Marine Science
"It was a no brainer to come to SAMS because of the research opportunities that I knew I would have.
It has a small campus, and a select number of students per year, which makes it much easier to have a dialogue and a rapport with your lecturers and the researchers."
Alberto studied at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS). Founded in 1884 by Sir John Murray, the father of oceanography, SAMS is Scotland's premier independent marine research institution.
Francesca – Italy
BA (Hons) Archaeology
"It prepared me both academia-wise and fieldwork-wise. I was able to dig in Scotland, Germany and Italy, working with different teams and meeting wonderful people.
I have always been greatly supported, throughout my student journey and even as a graduate."
Francesca studied at UHI Archaeology Institute based in Orkney. After graduating, she was offered places at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, choosing Cambridge for her MPhil.
Our campuses
International students can study at a range of locations across UHI, as our subjects are tied to the local geography and culture surrounding each campus.
