Alumni Ambassadors
We
are building our alumni ambassador community.
We
are looking for a wide variety of alumni ambassadors, who have studied
a variety of different courses, at all of our partner college
locations. Interested? Find out more here!
Meet our newest ambassador:
Ashlie McIvor
BSc
(Hons) Marine Science, 2018
"I am currently a la Caixa doctoral
fellow at the University of Lisbon contracted by the Marine and
Environmental Science Centre (MARE-ARDITI) in Madeira Island,
Portugal.
My time at SAMS UHI really shaped me and
exposed me to all components of marine science. I had many mentors
who encouraged me and supported my ambitious goals; these mentors
alongside the diverse course load opened many doors that have allowed
me to excel at each subsequent opportunity.
I want to be like them still, and I want to
offer similar opportunities that I was presented with. Being an
alumni ambassador gives me the opportunity to express my gratitude in
addition to supporting other like-minded students who have as many
questions as I had at the beginning of my academic career."
