Gregor
George
BA (Hons) Visual
Communication and Design, UHI Perth, 2020
“I have been chipping away at
freelance creative projects around the local area whilst maintaining
a steady part time job. I was granted an alumni award from the
creative department and was commissioned to create an artwork for the
new UHI Perth campus Wellness Garden. The artwork itself is a site-specific work which
both reflects upon its environment and some of my own thoughts...
You can see more of my artworks in various sites around Perth
and the surrounding areas. One of my favourite pieces is at the
fantastic Cullach Brewery on Princes Street. I also got married last
April, so that was a pretty big moment in my life!”

Elouise
Spooner
BA (Hons) Fine
Art, UHI Shetland, 2022
"Studying
with UHI changed my life for the better. I started when I was 13 with
a once-a-fortnight course during school, and I’m here 8 years later
with a first class degree"
"The
structure and lecturers allowed me to work in a very free and self-directed
way, allowing me to make more personal progress – the lecturers
really paid attention to each student's needs and went above and
beyond what was asked."
Elouise
has plans to pursue a Masters in Creative Practice, working toward a
PhD and a career in lecturing alongside freelancing in art. And we
asked Elouise what she loves about living in Shetland: ‘Fresh air! Thinking space!
Sheep!’
