Learning & Teaching Values

Providing a connected learning experienceActive and creative use of technology

Outline

Key to understanding and harnessing the affordances of virtual learning environments and associated learning technologies is the need to reflect upon the impact of these technologies on our pedagogical practice; the impact that these technologies have on the relationship between teacher, learner and that being learned; and the impact of discipline on technology use and pedagogical style.

This webinar will explore frameworks to support the evaluation and development of practice in the use of VLEs. It will also explore the concept of 'minimum standards' and highlight a devolved approach adopted at the University of Sussex which sought to enhance consistency of the staff and student experience whilst respecting differences in disciplinary pedagogies.
