Session Outline
For the last 12 months, Argyll College has been running a project to help staff develop their reflective practice. We have had a series of workshops (twelve in total), using an innovative ‘co-mentoring’ method, which focuses on sharing and exploring concerns within a safe space, as well as workshops on Reflective Writing and ‘Appreciative Inquiry’ (a procedure that concentrates on positive experiences). In addition, we further integrated Reflective Practice into staff development, specifically in the PDA Teaching Practice in Scotland's Colleges.
In this webinar we shall outline the background to the project, explain what we did, and also describe the (largely very positive) feedback from participants. We will also outline the resource pack that we have developed, which we would like to disseminate to any colleagues interested in using this approach. Finally, we will discuss with participants ideas for future developments, including using these approaches in working with students. The webinar should be of interest to anyone interested in Reflective Practice.
