This workshop will explore when we should share our own experiences with mentees and approaches to giving feedback in mentoring.  As mentors being self-aware and considering when our mentees will benefit from our own experience and knowledge, as well as developing our approaches to feedback will ensure we don’t fall into approaches to mentoring which become mentor led which will disempower mentees.

Optional pre-workshop task: Watch/listen to the following short videos on LinkedIn learning.  You will first need to sign into LinkedIn learning with your university log in details.

Giving and receiving feedback as a strategic mentor

The five feedback steps

Although presented as separate workshops, the 4 mentoring workshop sessions are purposely scaffolded to develop mentoring practice and participants are encouraged to attend all where possible.
