Add pronouns to your Microsoft 365 profile

Using pronouns in your Microsoft 365 profile is a great way to express your identity and create a more inclusive environment at UHI by showing others that you understand about pronouns.

Students and staff now have the option to include or exclude the pronouns field in their profile card at their discretion—it's not mandatory. This choice has no bearing on those who choose not to utilise it, and individuals are also free to toggle the field on or off as needed.

Please note that pronouns set in Microsoft 365 are only visible within Microsoft 365. They will not appear in other UHI services, such as the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) or the library system. For example, library staff will not have access to your pronouns if they are set solely in Microsoft 365.
