New or Lost Phone

New phone or new telephone number? 

If you have already set up MFA with your old phone and now have a new phone/new telephone number there are a few steps you need to undertake to update your authentication account and allow you to log back in when off campus.  

If you still have access to your old phone/phone number: 

  • Login to  Microsoft Security Update and change or delete your details as appropriate. 
  • Using your old phone/number to verify. 

If you don’t have access to your old phone/number: 

Contact the UHI Servicedesk on live chat or email servicedesk@uhi.ac.uk where we can reset your account to allow you to update your MFA to your new phone.  

If you are based at UHI Argyll, Inverness, Perth, Shetland, West Highland, North Highland you can speak with your local ICT team who can reset your account for you there.  

Lost your phone? 

If you have lost your phone and can’t use MFA to log in, please email Servicedesk@uhi.ac.uk . Please remember to include the following in your email:   

  • Your Name
  • Your student ID 
  • Date of Birth
  • Emergency contact 
  • Course studying
