About the event
Professor Carey, Head of the Centre for Rural Health Sciences at the University of the Highlands and Islands, is a highly qualified nurse with over 25 years of experience in teaching and curriculum development across clinical and academic settings. She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at institutions in the UK and the United States. Her research programme focuses on advancing and evaluating innovative practices in the management of long-term conditions, while also providing national and international leadership in this field.
In her presentation, Professor Carey will reflect on her extensive experience in driving improvements in healthcare delivery. She will explore key challenges and opportunities in patient-centred care, rural healthcare provision and the continuing professional development of healthcare practitioners.
The lecture will be followed by an interactive Q&A session and a networking reception. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals, researchers, students and members of the public to engage with leading research in health sciences.
