Expert to give free talk on latest diabetes research
The next session in the Café Scientifique Inverness series will explore the latest research on diabetes. Professor Sandra MacRury, Professor of clinical diabetes at the University of Highlands and Islands, will discuss how new research and ways of working might help to unravel the causes, prevention and management of one of the UK’s biggest health challenges.
The talk, entitled ‘Diabetes: Bench to Bedside and Back’, will take place from 7pm at Waterstones bookshop in the Eastgate Shopping Centre on Tuesday 24 June. All Café Scientifique events are free to attend and consist of an open and relaxed discussion. No booking is required and the public are urged to arrive early to secure a good seat!
The Café Scientifique series has been organised by the Public Engagement with Research Unit at the University of Aberdeen with support from the University of the Highlands and Islands’ Centre for Rural Health. It is supported by a science engagement grant from the Scottish Government.
