Students gather in Carrbridge for land conference
Around 50 students gathered in Carrbridge last week for a conference on Integrated Land Use.
Organised by the University of the Highlands and Islands, the event allowed students who are studying a variety of land-based subjects at a range of levels to work together to encourage them to develop an integrated approach to land management.
Agriculture, forestry, gamekeeping, environmental science, sustainable development and mountain studies students travelled from around the university network to attend the conference, which took place on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 March at the Carrbridge Hotel.
The event included a site trip to Dalnahaitnach and talks by guests from organisations including SEPA, Scottish Land and Estates, the RSPB and the Cairngorms National Park Authority.
