5 things we love to do in Moray
Whether it’s a walk along our golden beaches or taking in the sights while being active, Moray has it all. Join us as we explore 5 of our top things to do in the area.
Get active in Cooper Park
Featuring
- Tennis Courts
- Bowling Greens
- Cricket pitches
- A skate park and more
Cooper park is a hive of outdoor activities. Gifted by George A Cooper, the park which opened in 1903 is just a five-minute walk from our Moray Street Campus. The park also is home to a variety of birds who enjoy the former boating pond.

Grab ice cream in Cullen
Whether your team Portsoy or team Cullen ice cream, there is no denying that Cullen is one of the most scenic towns in Moray.
A 30-35 minute drive from our campuses Cullen is known for its ice cream and it’s Cullen skink, the world famous soup dish that originated in the town. The town provides beautiful walks along its shore, beaches and cliffs.
Cullen is also home of the iconic viaduct which provides locals and tourists alike the chance to explore its neighbouring towns with ease by following the former railway line.
Visit a Whisky Distillery
Moray is home to over half of Scotland’s Whisky distilleries and the official home of Scotland’s Malt Whisky trail. With brands including The Macallan, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet calling Moray home you will never be to far from a dram or an educational experience looking behind the scenes at a whisky tour.
Walk along the beach
Moray has more than 35 miles of beaches. From the World War II defences at Roseisle and beach huts at Hopeman and Findhorn to the world famous Lossiemouth East Beach we may be a bit biased to say that our beaches are some of the best in Scotland.

Play a round of golf
Did you know that Moray has the highest tee in Scotland?
With 16 courses calling Moray home each offers a unique experience whether your driving down the fairway of 15 hole at Cullen Links (one of the shortest Link courses in world) or taking in the views of the Speyside hills as you take on the biggest tee-to-green drop at Dufftown Golf Club.
