Musical Theatre students unveil Spring Season 2024
UHI Perth students have launched tickets for their upcoming theatrical performances this Spring.
Running from 8 February – 25 May, there are four shows featuring Musical and Technical Theatre and Theatre Industry Practice students.
Victoria-Lee Rice, UHI Perth Course Leader and Director/Musical Director explained: “The first production is ‘Into the Woods’ which is certainly a challenging production – it first premiered on Broadway in 1987, winning three Tony Awards including ‘Best Score’ and ‘Best Book’. It has since been produced throughout the world and was adapted into a major motion picture in 2014.
“I’m delighted to be working on this wonderful production with such a talented bunch of Musical and Technical Theatre students collaborating across the performing and production roles. They have been working extremely hard on all aspects– the cast, set and prop design, construction, lighting and sound design, as well as stage management.”
The performances for ‘Into the Woods’ are Thursday 8 February at 7pm, Friday 9 February at 7pm, Saturday 10 February at 1pm and 7pm, in the Goodlyburn Theatre on the UHI Perth’s Crieff Road campus. Under 11 years are not advised as contains mild adult themes.
- ‘Fame’ runs from 28 - 30 March;
- ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ runs from 25 - 27 April and
- ‘Pippin’ finalises the Spring season, running 23 - 25 May.
