History PhD students present papers at the UHI Postgraduate Research Conference in Stornoway
Three of the Centre for History's PhD students presented papers at the recent UHI Postgraduate Research Conference in Stornoway. Wade Cormack's paper was on ‘The development of sport and physical education in Scotland's northern mainland burghs, 1600-1800’; Mary Souter's was on ‘Public Health in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, 1845-1912’; and Linda Ross gave her paper on ‘The Dounreay Nuclear Establishments and its impact on the Northern Highlands of Scotland’.
