The judges were impressed with the way that the entrant took what advantage they could of the situation in order to create this impressive instrument. The use of second-hand items to create the telescope shows a great deal of ingenuity. A creation which lets you to explore new worlds even when not allowed to explore this one!

This is an extraordinarily detailed creation which brings the landscape to life in a vibrant way. It is made all the more impressive given the incredible personal challenges that you have faced.

This is an impressive creation! The judges liked the way that it brings together old Orkney tales and current times.
