The Professional Standards Framework is managed by Advance HE and is globally recognised for benchmarking success within HE teaching and learning. The PSF hasn’t been reviewed since 2011 and through consultation with colleagues working in Tertiary and HE learning and teaching, Advance HE have updated the framework to consider the changed landscape of HE.
The new PSF places more emphasis on impact, context and inclusivity in HE practice and on digital approaches as well as student support and collaboration.
The UHI ALPINE (Accredited Learning, Professional development and Innovation in Education) scheme is aligned with the PSF and will be relaunched in semester one 2024-25.
This introduction to the new PSF will highlight the changes made in the PSF and is for anyone working at SCQF level 7 – 11 (considering applying for ALPINE in academic year 2024-25 and for colleagues who mentor and review through ALPINE.
